Please note! |
It is suggested that all foreign citizens who are not residents of the US check on their visa requirements well ahead of time. Please make sure you prepare any needed paperwork, or travel authorizations (ESTA) for citizens of countries under the visa waiver program, as early as possible! Due to the present federal budget restrictions, approvals may take longer than usual. Please contact us if you need an invitation letter. We can also try to help with specific questions but invite you to check the internet resources first. |
Travel to Flagstaff
Flagstaff is located in northern Arizona, the 48th state of the United States of America. It lies at the southwestern edge of the Colorado Plateau, along the western side of the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine forest in the continental United States. Flagstaff is located adjacent to Mount Elden, just south of the San Francisco Peaks, the highest mountain range in the state of Arizona. Humphreys Peak, the highest point in Arizona at 12,633 feet (3,851 m), is located about 10 miles (16 km) north of Flagstaff in the Kachina Peaks Wilderness within the Coconino National Forest. Flagstaff is also about 80 miles (about 129 km) south of the Grand Canyon National Park. This page contains details on travel to Flagstaff and how to get around in the city.

Lodging
We strongly recommend to stay at the Little America Hotel (the conference venue) at Flagstaff. We negotiated an excellent rate for workshop attendants, considering that it is high tourist season in the area. Please check the registration page for details and to make a reservation at the workshop hotel. Selected alternative lodging options are listed on this page. We have no arrangements for special (reduced) rates for any of the alternative lodging options.
