5th International Joint Theory/Experiment Workshop on
Boosted Object Phenomenology,
Reconstruction & Searches

in High Energy Collision Experiments

First bulletin and announcement

This is the first announcement of the BOOST2013 workshop, the 5th international joint experiment/theory workshop on the reconstruction and phenomenology of, and searches for, boosted objects in hadron collisions. Following the successful workshops at SLAC (2009), Oxford (2010), Princeton (2011), and Valencia (2012), this workshop provides a forum to present and discuss the latest findings from phenomenology and theory on the understanding of the reconstruction of boosted objects in high energy hadron collisions and their use in searches for new physics, together with a review of the most recent results from experimental applications and searches using the boosted analysis methods.
An additional expected focus of the BOOST2013 workshop is the analysis of the validity and performance of boosted techniques so far successfully applied to final states in all presently accessible kinematic domains of hadron collisions, for applications in future higher intensity and higher energy hadron collisions. The adaptation and refinement of existing techniques as well as the potential for development of new approaches is expected to be addressed in this context.
The workshop is hosted by the Experimental Elementary Particle Physics group at the Department of Physics, at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, USA. The venue and times are:

Hotel Little America
Flagstaff, Arizona
United States of America
August 12-16, 2013

Registration and details concerning the workshop program, fee, the location, travel, lodging, and other useful information is available at
